The Axe Falls Probably Where It Should

"At last night’s debate, Joe Biden said 'we weren’t told' that the Benghazi consulate had requested additional security in the days leading up to the attack on the 9/11 anniversary. Today the White House is making sure everybody realizes that by 'we,' Biden was referring only to the White House and not the administration as a whole."

Believe it or not, I can accept the excuse that neither Biden nor Obama was aware of how dangerously exposed the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was before the terrorist attack and before four Americans were murdered there.  A valid question that someone might ask, though, is why?  Why didn't they know?  One of the most hazardous areas on the planet and the White House never bothered to inquire as to the status of security and preparedness there?

Why?

Did all those national security briefings that Obama chose to not attend come back to bite him, and kill innocent U.S. citizens?

Someone please ask.

But beyond that, it's becoming clear where the buck is going to stop.  Those on site, those in the intelligence community, those responsible for embassy security, and now the White House are pointing the finger squarely at the State Department.  And Hillary.

When heads roll, it's increasingly clear whose goes first.
