Griffith Logs A Lotta Miles

Posted on 02:24 by Unknown
Somehow this strikes me as refreshing.  Think of soon-to-be-former Senator Dick Lugar, who would fly back to Indiana from his home in Washington to vacation and see the relatives - oh, and bump into the occasional constituent.

Then read this press release from Congressman Morgan Griffith:
Griffith Travels Over 3,000 Miles On 'Every Last Vote' Tour

Christiansburg, VA - Congressman Morgan Griffith has traveled over 3,000 miles in the last 10 days as part of his Every Last Vote Tour of the 9th District before Election Day.

Griffith started the Every Last Tour on Thursday, October 25. Since then, he has traveled over 3,000 miles and has one more day remaining on the tour.

"Over the past 10 days I have been traveling our region, talking to voters about how important it is that we get every last vote possible in this election," said Griffith. "I have talked to voters about jobs, energy, the deficit, health care and many more issues. I have explained my record and asked for their vote for another term as Congressman."

Although Griffith has already marked over 3,000 miles, he will continue the tour on Monday with stops in Montgomery and Roanoke Counties. That means the campaign will have made over 40 stops in the last 11 days leading up to Election Day.

"The ninth district is a sprawling district larger than the state of New Jersey. But every voter here matters to me, and I will always work to cover every last inch of Southwest Virginia. From Covington to Martinsville to Lee County and every town in between, I will always work for our region," said Griffith.
Refreshing. An elected representative who mingles with the little people.

I like it.
