Why Would They Do This?

I suppose, if the media can keep pushing the notion that our embassy consulate in Benghazi was overrun and four Americans there were killed because some movie provoked the natives into barbarism - this despite the fact that the rest of the planet knows it to be a lie - that same media can try pulling a stunt like this, thinking it can get away with it:

"President Barack Obama is having trouble drawing large crowds on the campaign trail. At the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, his campaign was forced to move his acceptance speech from the 74,000-seat Bank of America Stadium to the 20,000 Time Warner Cable Arena, citing weather as the excuse. But the media are always eager to help--for example, putting 18,000 people inside a 5,000-seat arena at an Obama event in Milwaukee on Saturday."

18,000 attendees in a 5,000 seat arena.  Neat trick.

This sorry episode reads like it's a scene from the movie, "The Sting," in which a 1930's radio announcer is calling the action in a horse race from a sealed booth far from the racetrack.  Hey, who's going to know?

The question is: What do the geniuses in the mainstream media think they have to gain by jacking up the attendance numbers at this Obama event?  5,000 ain't big enough?  We'll appreciate him more if there were more union members there?

Shoot, make it a million then.

And feel America's love for Barack Obama multiply.
